I need to report a death
Please accept our condolences
for your loss. We know this is a difficult time and so we’ve set out what you
need to do from a Rolls-Royce pensions perspective as simply as possible below.
To
report a death, please complete our online form, which can be started by clicking on this link. Alternatively, you can call us on 01332 333335 between 8am and Midday, Monday to Thursday. Please
make sure that you have the following details to hand before you start:
- The member's pension number or national insurance number. If you
cannot find either of these details, we’ll ask you for their full name and date
of birth
- The date that the member passed away
- Details of a spouse, civil partner or
financially dependent individual who may be entitled to dependant’s benefits
- Your name and
email address so that we can respond and provide further information
As soon as possible after reporting the death, we'll email you with the
information your (or the executor) may need for tax purposes and to request any further
information we require.
We'll keep in touch with you until we are in a position to
confirm payment of any benefits. At that point, we will contact the beneficiary directly for privacy reasons, unless:
- the nominated person has Lasting Power of Attorney or is a Deputy
appointed by the Court of Protection for the beneficiary or;
- the beneficiary has given their written consent to have information
sent to the nominated person
Dependant pensioners can also register for access to their pension through this website as soon as we confirm their pension has been set-up for payment. Their pension number will be confirmed to them when this happens and they'll need this when registering.
